TomTom in-car kit for iPhone gets priced
What price to turn your iPhone into a TomTom? Quite a high one it appears...
Remember the TomTom in-car kit for iPhone? You know, all that paraphernalia that turns your Messiah Mobile pretty much into a TomTom satnav? Well, it’s just been given a price and release date. read on for all the navigation know-how…
So just how much will you be paying for the TomTom in-car kit for iPhone? Only a whopping £99.99 when it’s released in October. And that’s not the end of the bad news. That price does not include the price of the application that actually turns your iPhone into the awesome satnav
If you want to get maps of the UK and Ireland you’ll have to fork out an extra £59.99 for the TomTom app. If you’re more of a continental navigator, then you’ll need Western European maps, and that’ll set you back a whopping £79.99. You might as well buy a dedicated TomTom for all that outlay! Still at least the TomTom in-car kit for iPhone be compatible with all versions of the iPhone. That’s something at least.

This is a big shame... I think TomTom have officially priced themselves out of the market on this one. I mean im a huge fan of bringing Sat-Nav to the iphone but even im not willing to spend £100 on what it seems to be a beefed up holder. Sorry TomTom but i'll give you £60 for it?

This is absolutely ridiculous... 100 Pounds for TomTom stand? I would rather get a cheaper version and does exactly all you need for in-car kit stand, TomTom has definitely over-priced them self... and as Olzay91 quoted... Sorry TomTom, but you not worth the 100 Pound asking price.
