Time for more tablets, with the Packard Bell Liberty Tab
This year really has been the year of the tablet, with an unprecedented amount of devices appearing to rival the Apple iPad. The Packard Bell Liberty Tab is the latest, borrowing its design from parent company Acer, and the Iconia Tab A500.
The Packard Bell Liberty Tab is a 10.1-inch tablet which shares most of its technology with the Acer Iconia Tab. The screen is one of the stand-out features, with a sharp 1280×800-pixel resolution, and there’s more than enough space for your movies or photographs.
The design of the ‘Tab is simple, with an understated black bezel around the screen, and classy chrome highlights running horizontally under the display. It looks good, but it’s also a bit too much like a digital photo frame for our liking.
The Liberty Tab runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb, with other specs including a nVidia Tegra 2 processor, HDMI, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. There’s also a 5-Megapixel camera on the back.
The Packard Bell Liberty Tab is set to hit the shops in June.

all these tablets are only as good the software apps that run on them,ipad2 has some decent dedicated apps like Amplitube and Korg iMS-20,I have not found much on the Android market that have that wow factor for an app.

I also have the fabulous Acer Iconia A500,Wonderful bit of kit, does everthing I ask of it. I originally wanted the IPad2 but after using the A500 found it does as good a job as the Apple at a fraction of the price. Okay there are maybe not as many Apps for Android but it is getting better,Just like TV you can only use one at a time ( I am a MAN and cant multitask LOL ).If you are loaded and it doesnt matter what something costs then yes go for the iPad2 but if like very many people and alot more are getting that way today in the UK, the ANDROID system is a very good second place and doesnt need to hide itself.
