The wood-encased Thinksound Rain in-ear 'phones

Thinksound’s range of wooden-encased in-ear headphones are now available in the UK courtesy of Advanced MP3 Players.

According to their makers, the Thinksound Rain, TS01 and TS02+Mic combine distinctive looks with the smallest eco-footprint possible thanks to their use of PVC-free cables and hand-crafted wooden casings, which also contribute to more natural acoustics.

Aside from their green sensibilities, Thinksound’s headphones also feature passive noise isolation, gold-plated 3.5mm jack plugs and have dynamic drivers with a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response.

Each pair of Thinksound headphones comes with a cotton carrying pouch and in packaging made from recycled materials using a minimum of plastic, You also get a quartet of ear fittings – one more than the usual three.

Prices start from £49 for the TS01, with the slightly smaller Rain coming in at £59 and the TS02 – which adds an inline mic set into the cable – setting you back £64.99. All are available now.
