The ultimate arcade gaming table? Classic games, modern price

For those of a certain generation, gaming is inextricably linked to the concept of little round joysticks and an arrangement of red buttons.

But while the Stealth console system duly pays homage to the classic gaming genre with those self same arcade staples, just about everything else about it – including the price, unfortunately – is very much right up to date with the present day.

Designed by Arcade Tables – a company claiming to be the “people who brought back the video arcade gaming table of the 80s” – the Stealth features a high definition LCD screen with an 89-degree viewing angle, as well as “high precision, aerospace grade controls” – in other words, the aforementioned joystick and a couple of buttons.

There are 60 classic games pre-installed, including old favourites like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong, while there’s a speaker system built in too for the all-important audio gaming goodness.

The Stealth table is available in two colours, “deep space obsidian and supernova white”. If all that sounds like just your thing, hopefully you’ll have the small matter of $3,300 in loose change lying around.

What an ugly overpriced piece of junk that looks. Could knock up something like that for a fraction of the price. Fond memories of the real thing in the pub, pint to one side of the screen, sat opposite my mate playing all night, 10p a go.

agreed 30 odd years ago the first table top I played on space firebird, I played the thing that much I could have clocked it on 1 credit. anyhoo the tabletop from 30 years ago looked a lot better than that, I mean that is ugly, and the design?? I mean I'm a man i have big feet and there's just no way that's fitting me, this is way too early for april fools jokes $3300 I know what I'd be doing with that type of dosh and it's not spending it on that ugly thing... result, Buy a space firebird table top and you can convert it to different games, looks cool and retro, lovely glass top and a hell of a bit cheaper..
