Gadgets that combine two functions in one device tend to be a bit hit and miss, and the jury’s probably still out on this one: the Brookstone Pillow Remote Control.
As the name suggests, it’s both a pillow and a remote control, with the remote’s buttons embedded in the soft cushioning of the pillow’s surface, ideal for keeping the remote from anyone else’s grubby mitts, even while you’re asleep.
The six-in-one remote is set up to work with more than 500 home entertainment devices, and has a wide-range transmitter with an infrared LED built in. The buttons themselves are made from nice finger-friendly fabric sewed into the cushion’s surface, while take a peek inside and you’ll find space for a pair of AAA batteries.
The Brookstone Pillow Remote Control has been given a $29.95 price tag over in the States, and while we don’t have any info on a UK distributor, Brookstone does ship internationally so if you act fast you might just be able to get yours by Christmas.
