The poll for best smartphone should be using flash for voting :-) Also, where is the Galaxy S2 ?? John Bentley has already says he prefers the sgs2 to the nexus... Things like these polls coupled with the rechargeable battery test with the worst battery coming out as number one reeks of brown envelopes. Seriously, if you were to recommend a rechargeable battery would you tell someone to get GP or Duracell even though the GP is almost the same cost but lasts 5 times longer, come on gadgeteers, where's your backbone?

A vote for the best smartphone and no Samsung Galaxy S2?? Lol I LOVE the Gadget Show but this poll is a joke. I've had way to many smartphones and the GS2 is the best easily imo. So no point in me voting :(

Having been a casual viewer of the Gadget Show for quite some time, I have to say it's almost incredible that the Samsung Galaxy S2 is not in the poll. It is the number one phone in most of Europe, it's the second smartphone to really break the dominance of the iPhone (the first was the HTC Desire, but the S2 does it better with no bugs, unlike the Desire). Excluding it from the poll is quite simply wrong. It is as ludicrous as excluding the iPhone from the poll. It doesn't smell of brown envelopes, but it does smell like a fanboy's decision. This is critisism on my part, and must not be read as a factual statement. I do not work at the Gadget Show, and therefore does not know what editorial decisions are made. It does open you up to critisism, though, and it would be editorially wise to avoid such suspicions. I would respectfully suggest that the show restard the whole poll and reconsider. But for production reasons, I do understand that won't happen. But I still state my opinion. Merry Christmas. :-)

It's a bit silly most of the next gen phones are not listed. especially sensation and galaxy S2 which is my favorite owning both. perhaps Curry/PCworld don't sell them

Surely, a comparison between Android and iOS should have given the Android fan an iPhone 4s (which it did), the Apple fan Samsung Galaxy Nexus (they let him use his own iPhone?) and the novice an iPhone 4s and a Samsung Galaxy Nexus (not an HTC). You are not going to change an Apple fan by making him use his iPhone more! and it is unfair to compare Apples latest operating system iOS5 against an old version of Android. Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4) has been out for weeks now. I was not surprised when the iPhone came out on top, this is The Gadget Show after all. It was a good job i was sat down when the Galaxy Nexus beat the iPhone in the tests at the end of the show!

Ridiculous that the Galaxy SGII is not in the list of phones to vote for. Its proved to be the best of them all yet gets excluded... Love the Gadget Show but thats a rank bad decision and makes the poll worthless really....

How can you SERIOUSLY vote for the nest phone, when its not even on the list (Galaxy S2) Shocking lack of judgement!
