The kettle that Tweets tea-time

The Gadget Show  Wednesday 07 April 2010

The kettle that Tweets tea-time Twettle – genius or madness?

It may only be in concept stage at the moment, but we’re loving Twettle – the kettle that tweets when it’s time for tea. an update on the traditional whistling kettle, the ides is that the Twettle uses embedded Wifi hardware to connect to Twitter to let you know when it’s reaching boiling point.

It may be gloriously pointless unless you have a massive country pile, or hope to catch out thirsty burglars, but hold on – it’s also clever enough to compile weekly stats so that you can track exactly how much water you’ve boiled – and therefore how much tea and coffee you’re drinking.

The Twettle was designed by Ben Perman and Murat Multu and they hope that if it makes it into production it will retail ata round $115.
