The GM EN-V – the crazy car of the future?
GM EN-V – what we'll all be driving?
This is the most bonkers transport concept we’ve seen for a while – but we can’t help but love the GM EN-V. It’s General Motor’s new concept of the car of 2030, but the best bit is it’ll be on show this year!
The tiny, bubble-like pod is accompanied with a series of utopian visions of future transport that’s a world away from the massive motors that General motors currently sells: the GM EN-V is a 1.5m long, carbon-fibre two-seater electric pod that can turn on the spot, and uses GPS and vehicle to vehicle communications to do all the driving for you and make sure you don’t crash with other bubble pods.
The GM EN-V would also charge from mains sockets, and go for up to 40km on a single charge, while each will come with a mobile internet connection of course. There’s also a touchscreen computer on a pivot to keep you entertained.
While there are no plans to sell the GM EN-V just yet, but there’ll be more info at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai from May to October.

Man i wish it was at gadget show live this year. Would be sick however ther are some concerns. It will make driving a thing of the past but people enjoy driving. Not all people but some. And it ruins a big part of life when you learn how to drive. WItht hat in mind it looks awesome and will probably sell quite well unless we all get destroyed in the horrors of 2012 :P

I will be surprised if this were cheap, I'll probably get like 15 of these (like somewhere in the £200-£300 sections!) XD

Well for its technology its really good maybe fantastic but for a form of transport i mean because it only does 40km between fill ups and properly does not go very fast + they must be quiet a lot to pay for still thou the technology is good, maybe the technology could be used in cars today as a suggestion.
