The E-Rockit, man
Introducing the E-Rockit electric bike... the future or two-wheeled vehicles?
We don’t think Elton John was talking about Stefan Gulas when he was talking about the Rocket Man. You see, Stefan Gulas invented the E-Rockit – a pedal-powered electric bike that can hit speeds of up to 50mph!
The E-Rockit electric bike, as you’d expect, has zero emissions and can reach speeds of up to 50mph thanks to its reliance purely on pedal power. The E-Rockit is half bicycle and half motorbike, but to make it move you have to pedal it. It has an electric motor, though, which only charges up by your constant pedalling, but it does make for speedier acceleration.
The E-Rockit weighs around 100kg and has been developed by Stefan Gulas in Berlin. It currently costs €33,000 (that’s roughly the equivalent of £28,500), which isn’t cheap, but for the sake of mother nature, your health the avoidance of another Al Gore documentary, we’d stump up the cash.
