The best gaming collector’s editions you can order right now

There’s nothing like a gem of a collector’s edition game to get us excited about pre-ordering our favourite forthcoming games. With plenty of excellent games due for release in the coming months we’ve been hitting up the pre-order listings to pick put the collector’s editions we’re most looking forward to. Join us for a look at our favourites.

Max Payne 3 Special Edition Rockstar Games has come up trumps with this quite fantastic Max Payne 3 Special Edition. Who doesn’t want a 10-inch collectible statue of Max Payne, a blingin’ brass-plated bullet keychain, some cool art prints and extra in-game multiplayer content? We know we do.

Catherine: Stray Sheep Edition
Catherine is one of the freakiest puzzle games we’ve ever played, combining challenging puzzling with a thrilling story surrounding the poor Vincent, who finds himself the centre of a seductive love triangle. Catherine will make you laugh, cry and tear your hair out at its taxing gameplay. Yet we still love it.

This special edition includes a copy of the game, a T-Shirt matching that worn by Vincent in the game, some game-themed coasters, a Catherine poster and a pizza delivery box housing more goodies.

Ninja Gaiden 3 Collector’s Edition Ahead of its March 23rd release Ninja Gaiden fans can get in the mood for more high-kicking action with this Collectors Edition that comes with a whole caboodle of Ninja Gaiden goodness. In the box you’ll find exclusive figurines, exclusive Ninja Gaiden 3 ‘Unmask’ art book, soundtrack and an exclusive four-character demo of the forthcoming fighting game Dead or Alive 5.

Xbox 360 320GB Star Wars Kinect Console Limited Edition A shoo-in for limited edition of the year, this Xbox 360 console comes fitted with custom R2-D2 stylings and authentic beep sounds, gold C-3PO-themed Xbox 360 controller and a white Microsoft Kinect sensor. The Force is indeed strong with this one.

Prototype 2 Radnet Edition As far as extra content goes, the Prototype Radnet Edition puts many to shame. Pre-ordering the Prototype 2 Radnet Edition grants you 55 pieces of additional content at no extra cost. You won’t get any fancy posters or keyrings, but you will get plenty more in-game goodies in the form of new challenges, game events and avatar items, dynamic themes and exclusive behind-the-scenes making of videos. Sweet.

Are there any great collectors editions that we’ve missed? Let us know.
