Tattoo names its price!

Tattoo names its price! The HTC Tattoo: silly name, awesome price!

You may remember that we told you that Vodafone was going to stock the HTC Tattoo – the latest super-affordable Android handset from HTC. Turns out it’s even more affordable than we thought, with Vodafone outing the Tattoo as free on contract. And more good news: pre-order it now and you’ll get your handset on October 8!

Why are we so excited by the HTC Tattoo? Well, it’s the opportunity for the masses to get their hands on an Android handset, therefore experiencing all the wonders and delights that come with Google’s amazingly user-friendly OS. Made all the more breezy with HTC’s very own HTC Sense skin, as first demonstrated on the high-end HTC Hero.

Elsewhere the Tattoo wows users with a glossy 2.8-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi, 3G whizzy web-browsing and an iPhone-matching 3.2-megapixel camera.

But back to those tariffs. Vodafone is offering a number of contracts, all of which offers the handset for ‘free’, starting at £25. You’ll have to sign up for 24 months, but for that you get 100 minutes talk time and 500 texts. Need more time to natter? Then the £30 price plan offers 600 minutes talking and unlimited texts. Still not enough? Then you my friend, will need the £35 a month tariff: 900 anytime minutes and unlimited texts!

Pre-order the Tattoo now and you could get up close and personal with Android by October 8. Now that can’t be bad.
