Swarovski gives PEN E-P1 a crystal makeover
The bedazzled Swarovski E-P1
How do you make the Olympus PEN E-P1, one of the most stylish digital SLRs around, even more desirable? Well, if your name is Swarovski, the answer is to adorn it with hundreds of tiny crystals.
This glittering gadget is just the latest to get jeweled up in crystals by Crystal Roc, which in the past has given microphones, headphones and even guitars a crystal makeover.
Its attention-grabbing exterior aside, the camera is identical to the regular PEN E-P1, complete with Micro Four Thirds sensor and 12.3MP resolution.
As befits its bejeweled status, the limited edition Swarovski-endowed Olympus PEN E-P1 will be exclusive to Harrods, and will be presented along along with two lenses in a limited-edition wooden case. Considering the conventional E-P1 retails for around £600, slapping a £2,000 price tag on this one makes it very much one for the “more money than sense” category.
