Swarovski gives added sparkle to Sony's photo frames
Swarovski sprinkles on the glamour
Let’s face it: when it comes to design, digital photo frames are much of a muchness. Enter Swarovski, Austrian purveyors of all things crystal. Its latest collaboration with the world of technology sees it fling handfuls of crystals to provide added sparkle to Sony’s digital photo frames.
Sony’s new range of pic viewers in Japan includes two models designed in conjunction with Swarovski – black and white variations of the 7in DPF-D75 – and according to our Japanese friends, its the Austrian jewel maker’s special Crystallized elements that have been used for maximum sparkle.
For those wondering whether beauty runs more than skin deep, the DPF-D75 features a 800×480 resolution, Sony’s TruBlack technology, 256MB internal memory, and both SD and Memory Stick Duo slots.
At present these bejewelled frames have only been lined up for Japanese launch, where they go on sale next month for the equivalent of around £150. But we wouldn’t be surprised to see them sparkling on UK mantelpieces before too long.
