Survive Glastonbury with Glastonav
Avoid the nastiness of Glastonbury (Oasis) with Orange's updated Glastonav
Ah, it’s that time of year again. Torrential rain, mud that resembles the trenches from the Battle of the Somme, and toilets that are flattered to be called toilets. Yes, it’s Glastonbury. Luckily, Orange has just launched an updated Glastonav mobile application to help you navigate “the trenches”.
Glastonav, in association with Guardian Guide, actually helps you to navigate your way through the muddy fields, around the stages, to make sure that you get to see all your favourite acts playing at the festival. It’s packed with information on which artists are playing, which stage they’ll be performing on, it gives you an interactive map of the site and also any breaking news.
What else can Glastonav do to help ease the Glastonbury experience? Well at 12pm each day, a bull icon will be posted on the GlastoNav map revealing the location of a life-sized bull with a special code on it. Festival goers can then go and find the bull and enter the code word onto their phone to be in with a chance of winning side-stage access for one of the featured performances. Nice. All in all then, a pretty handy app. Now, how do we avoid the Oasis stage?
