Street Fighter X Tekken for Xbox 360 lacks exclusive characters
Street Fighter X Tekken arrives in stores this March for PS3 and Xbox 360. Unfortunately there is bad news for those looking to get the game on Xbox 360. Street Fighter producer and legend Yoshinori Ono has confirmed that, unlike the PS3 version, the Xbox 360 edition will not be getting any exclusive fighters.
The news is a Dragon Punch in the ribs for Xbox 360 owners, especially as the PS3 version will feature three. So, what happened?
Street Fighter X Tekken: Five things you need to know
It was all down to a few minor disagreements. Microsoft did want to include characters exclusive to Xbox 360 owners, however an agreement was never reached, Ono told X360A.
“We have Cole (from inFamous), the two Sony cats, Kuro and Toro. But basically for the Xbox 360, we were in discussions with them (Microsoft) for which character to put in as an exclusive, but we weren’t able to decide on a character because of differences in timing and things like that.”
As a result, only the PS3 version of Street Fighter X Tekken will have exclusive fighters. Ono went on to tease what could have been, by suggesting that Halo’s Master Chief, or Gears of War’s Marcus Fenix were contenders to be included.
That would have been pretty cool, we have to say. Has the above news changed your purchasing decision? Let us know in the comments below.
