Street Fighter X Tekken: 5 things you need to know

Street Fighter X Tekken will be hitting up store shelves this March. But what is it? And what has Tekken got to do with Street Fighter? In short, Street Fighter X Tekken is the next best fighting game to hit consoles, featuring fighters from two of the best fighting series ever made.

We’re seriously pumped. You should be too. Here are five cool Street Fighter X Tekken facts you need to know.

Street Fighter and Tekken characters come together

Street Fighter X Tekken does the previously unimaginable by bringing together some of the best known Street Fighter and Tekken characters together in one game. Street Fighter legends Ken, Ryu, Chun-Li, Zangief and more are all there, fighting alongside and against the likes of Law, King, Kazuya, Heihachi and many others from the Tekken games. It’s a fight fans dream.

Tag team to combine from both empires

Fighting takes place in a tag-team format over three rounds. The round ends when one character dies. Tagging a player out will replenish their health, so carefully tagging in and out is the key to victory. New Cross Art Attacks lets players unleash devastating attacks from both characters in your team against your foes.

New characters are still being announced

Street Fighter X Tekken has an impressive roster of over 30 characters, and more are still being announced. Yesterday saw the reveal of Street Fighter’s Balrog, Vega and Juri, with Paul, Law and Xiaoyu now representing Tekken. Who else should be in there?

Scramble battle: four player on-screen action

In Scramble Battle up to four players can appear on screen at the same time. With punches and kicks hitting players from anywhere, it sounds pretty mental. We can’t wait to play it for ourselves.
You can dress Chun-Li in a panda outfit

One of the more quirky features of Street Fighter x Tekken is the ability to dress Street Fighter and Tekken characters in each others costumes, so Yoshimitsu can play dress up as M. Bison, and Chun-Li can arrive at fights kitted up as a cuddly bear.
