Spanking new 10-inch Toshiba Windows Tablet set for CES 2012?
Toshiba looks like it is getting set to bring another 10.1-inch tablet to the masses. However, instead of running the Android operating system, it looks like Windows 7 is getting some attention this time around.
The Toshiba Dynabook WT301/D is a pretty standard 10.1-inch tablet with a 1366×768-pixel resolution but instead of being pitched at the consumer market, it looks like big business is the target of this Windows 7 tablet.
Toshiba Excite tablet, thinner than the iPad 2?
Along with the HD Ready display and rather slim stylings, this tablet will come with an Intel Atom processor, pack 2GB of RAM, and even have space for a 64GB solid state disk, which we think is a pretty beefy combination for anyone looking to work on the go.
When it comes to those little extras, the Toshiba Dynabook WT301/D is set to carry a VGA front-facing camera with 1.3-Megapixel rear camera, stereo speakers, USB and micro HDMI ports, as well as solid connectivity in the form of 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0
Highlighting its business credentials, Toshiba will be shipping the tablet with an array of software, with Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 high on the agenda.
Already looking like it will get a January release in Japan, we’re wondering whether the Toshiba Dynabook WT301/D will get its first Western appearance at CES at the start of the year, which seems a pretty logical place to us!
What do you think, does a Windows 7 tablet have what it takes to go head-to-head with the likes of the Apple iPad 2 or any of the Android powered tablets out there? Let us know what you think in the Comments below.

Tablet's are advancing so fast... Once this is released, more companies like Apple and the Android market will start to release even better tablet's for competition. By this time next year, there will be a 3D tablet or something that expands from a phone into a tablet. It just goes too fast to keep up with!

I am torn at the moment as I am looking to upgrade my laptop or buy a tablet. The thing that has kept me away from tablets is the (my) perception that they are nothing more than a toy. I do not need one for my work, but if I had one which I could use without having to store all my Office docs in a 'Cloud' then I know I definitely would make use of one.
