I am a big fan of Sony Vaio and I have several full-size Vaio laptops and a desktop. I recently bought a W12S1E netbook in order to take notes while away from home and was very impressed by the high screen resolution and long battery life. However, I had to return it to the shop as Vaio, sadly, decided to shorten the space bar and put five keys to the left of it, instead of the standard four, so being a touch typist, every type I hit the space bar with my left thumb I actually hit the forward slash key instead. I then wanted to order a new W series laptop (customizable and only available online from Sony), but it turns out that all W series in the UK have the same keyboard with the shortened space bar, so no use to touch typists. All the pictures of these models are wrongly shown with four keys on websites of all major retailers like Amazon, Play, Argos, Tesco and even on the Sony Vaio website. The same models sold in some countries outside the UK come with four keys to the left of the space bar. Frustrating!
