Sony's Cyber-shot DSC-TX5 – world's slimmest waterproof cam
The Sony DSC-TX5 – water-loving Cyber-shot
Good news for fans of Sony’s swish Cyber-shot range of compact snappers – a waterproof version is on the way, and it’s a beauty.
The holiday-friendly DSC-TX5 is waterproof to 3m, as well as dust-proof and freeze-proof, and still manages to pull off svelte 16.7mm Cyber-shot stylings – apparently making it the planet’s slimmest waterproof camera (with optical steady shot inside).
It comes packing all the Cyber-shot goodies that we’ve come to expect, including a 3in LCD screen, a 10.2MP sensor, 4x optical zoom, image stabilisation and 720p HD movie shooting. Intelligent Panoramic sweep will also let you capture those vistas in a button-press.
The TX5 will be available in March and comes in black, silver, pink, green and red.

Looks great, maybe a worthy replacement for my Olympus mju 790SW, but it will be a tough act to follow.

Is it just me, or does the price not matter? I mean if it's £100 I'm interested. If it's £1,000 I'm not. The price is as relevant as the 10.2 MP quality.
