DAB radios are often humdrum affairs – not so the Sony XDR-S16DBP. With this gadget, you’ll find the latest technology wrapped in a gorgeous retro body. Coming in at a whisker under £80, the Sony XDR-S16DBP is both stylish and affordable. The wooden casing hides a couple of speakers, and although they’re unlikely to wake the dead – at just 0.8W – they should be enough to wake you from your morning slumber.
For your money, you’ll be able to save up to ten station presents, and there’s a swanky 16×2-character LCD display. Other features include a sleep timer and a headphone jack.
Other than that, the Sony XDR-S16DBP is all about styling. The front of Sony’s new baby is covered in a silver grill, and the matt silver highlights offer a premium and luxury feel to the otherwise retro styling.
