Sony XB headphones are totally addicted to bass! Sony's new XB headphone range: stylish and packed with more bass than a floating fish restaurant

After a new aural adornment that would put David Beckham-style diamond earrings to shame? Bonza! Because Sony’s just announced the ultra-stylish XB series of headphones that’ll give you the sonic experience your ears deserve without making you look like a plum.

It won’t be long before the Sony X-Series Walkman arrives now, and these are the ideal accompaniment. Why? Well, according to the boffs at the big S, the XB series of cans offer some of the lowest, most accurate frequencies trapped inside a headset.

First up for our aural delectation are the MDR-XB700, top-of-the-range cans, which boast a 50mm driver to provide more bass than your local fishmonger. Similar to the lower-end models, the XB500 and XB300, these overhead ‘phones have an extremely snug fit to keep your tunes in and the outside world out!

More an advocate of in-ear beauty? Well, the XB40EX and XB20EX models deliver similar a bass-shaking experience thanks to something called “direct vibe”, whatever that is.

And did we say they’re like, well stoosh to look at. The fly styling will mean that you can hang with budding hip-hop hood-rats without looking like a tool. All available from March!
