Sony Vaio CW gets the Blus

Fwd Tech  Thursday 08 October 2009

Sony Vaio CW gets the Blus Vaio, Vaio, oh why are we talking in a German accent?

A bit more Sony computer news for you now. Not content with outing the touchscreen all-in-one Vaio L PC, Sony’s now tempting us with something sexy to put in our laps: the Sony Vaio CW laptop. It’s not just sexy though, this is an affordable lappie with some serious special powers, including an optional Blu-ray drive.

The Sony Vaio CW is in fact a 14-inch laptop fro the Japanese company. Available in a number of stylish hues, including pink and white, the Vaio CW is packing plenty of heat. And by heat we mean features. Starting with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13GHz processor to supply the grunt.

Combine that power with a 320GB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M graphics, and an HDMI port and you have one healthy lappie. That’s not even mentioning the fact that the Sony Vaio CW will also be running Microsoft’s latest OS, Windows 7, and the option of kitting it out with a Blu-ray drive for watching your favourite flicks on that 16:9 WXGA screen.

With prices starting at $799.99 over in the US (that’s around £500 when translated) we’re hopeful that we’ll get a good deal over here too.
