Sony photo frame masquerades as printer
What do you call an all-in-one photo frame and printer?
We don’t know why someone didn’t think of the Sony S-Frame DPP-F700 before: a photo frame with a printer built in, so you can print off your favourite snaps as and when.
As multi-taskers go the Sony S-rame DPP-F700 is up there with the female species as the best pluro-taskers. It brings together that most intriguing of gadgets, the digital photo frame, and amalgamates it with a printer that can print off 4×60-inch snaps at 300dpi. What’s more it’ll spit out a print in around 45 seconds. Not bad.
That seven-inch display can also be used for editing your snaps , allowing you to crop and resize shots before you print them out. It can also read SD cards, Compact Flash cards, xD cards or Sony memory cards and will play back galleries of photos at your request.
There’s still no word on a UK release, but it’s hitting the States in the new year for around £120. We’ll keep you up to date on word of a UK outing as and when it happens.
