Sony Personal 3D Viewer headset hits Harrods
3D viewing is taking off in a big way, with the Sony Personal 3D Viewer HMZ-T1 leading the charge. Now you no longer need a 3D television to enjoy the delights of viewing, because Sony has finally released its 3D headset in the UK at London’s plush Harrods department store, before anywhere else.
The Sony Personal 3D Viewer HMZ-T1, to give it its full title, gives wearers the illusion of viewing a 750-inch theater screen. It’s like having a cinema inches from your eyes.
Sony HZM-T1 gets UK launch price and date!
The Sony Personal 3D Viewer HMZ-T1 works by combining dual-OLED screens to deliver high resolution 0.7-inch images, small enough to fit inside the headset, but large enough so that when the headset is worn, the headset projects a full screen experience before your very eyes.
The Sony Personal 3D Viewer HMZ-T1 is compatible with a number of products including televisions and games consoles. So you can play PS3 games, watch your favourite television shows, or catch a Blu-ray movie in 3D, with surround sound once connected.
However, such pleasure comes at a price. Harrods are currently selling the Sony Personal 3D Viewer HMZ-T1 for £800 before the viewer makes it to Sony stores across the country. Money well spent? Let us know in the comments section below…

The Sony HMZ-T1 3D viewer 9th Nov 2011: Why is it that in America they can make a good enough profit on this item by charging $799.99 for it but over here in the U.K. they have to charge £800? With the Dollar US exchange rate of $1.56 to the U.K. Pound that would be 799.99/1.56 = £512.81 and + VAT at 20% that would come to £512.81 + £102.56 = £615.38,,,,,, £184.62 more than the U.S.A. Why?

its purely because of limited availabilty and shippin costs mate been duihn sum research and everythin in the uk costs around 3.5% more than usa the australians get it at 4.2% which is not fair at the austyralian dollar rate
