Sony Party-Shot back for more
Guests, snacks and music not included. Oh, and neither is the camera
We can’t tell a lie: we’re definite fans of the Sony Party-Shot DS1 motorised camera dock. After all, it’s a gadget built for parties – what’s not to like?
Well the good news is that nearly a year and a half after the original Party-Shot first hit the scene, Sony has flipped over to Side B and unveiled an all-new model, the rather predictably named Sony Party-Shot IPT-DS2.
Announced together with the exciting new HX100V and HX9V we featured the other day, the revamped Party-Shot has been given a makeover fresh for 2011’s party season, and now comes with touch-sensitive activation for the instant gratification of on-demand shooting, as well as support for Sony’s Intelligent Sweep Panorama wizardry on cameras where the feature is present.
As for the rest, it’s the same clever clogs motorised dock that prowls the room taking portraits of all your party guests all night long without you having to go anywhere near it. The Party-Shot was a winner when we first laid eyes on it, and still looks good today.
