Sony releases sweet Alpha compact DSLR
The new Sony Alpha – compact snapping
Sony has just announced a gorgeous new concept camera in its Alpha range. The new Sony Alpha promises full DSLR quality and interchangeable lenses all squeezed into the dimensions of a compact snapper.
Similar to the Olympus PEN line and its Micro Four Thirds technology, the Alpha concept promises the same “DSLR picture quality” thanks to a proprietary Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, capable of shooting HD video.
Although the new Alpha is only a concept for now, Sony says it will be launched this year, so if you’re in the market for a snapper with one of the new form factors, it’s worth bearing in mind.
The Alpha concept was unveiled at the PMA photography show, which is taking place in Anaheim, California this week. We’ll bring you the latest news on the photography great and good as it happens…
