Sony gets touchy with new Bloggie Touch
The touch-tastic Bloggie Touch
Sony touchscreen-toting Bloggie Touch has gone on sale in the UK, adding a host of new features to the popular pocket camcorder.
The new touch-friendly interface leads the way, however, with the 3in LCD now allowing you to flick through your pics and clips with a swipe of a digit.
Aside from full HD video clips, the Bloggie Touch also has an upgraded 12.8-megapixel stills camera as well as a new auto macro mode that allows you to get up close and personal to objects just 10cm away.
A clip-on adapter gives you the option of 360-degree panoramic clips, while the Bloggie Touch connects to your PC for sharing your shots and videos using a flip-out USB arm that also charges the battery.
With 8GB of internal memory on board, you should be good for around four hours of HD shooting at 720p, though that will drop to around just half an hour at the highest 1080p setting.
The Sony Bloggie Touch is out now in silver, black or pink, and will set you back £219.

The Gadget Show recently ran a test report on three pocketcams. The Flip was dismissed as bulky and difficult to use. The Kodak did well because it was fast. The Samsung had optical zoom and autofocus, but it was slow otherwise. In the end, though, the image quality of all three deserved a four-letter word. It's one thing to shoot footage, but it's an utter waste of time if the resulting video is unwatchable. I have a Toshiba pocketcam, but I hate it. I've kept it as my junk camcorder, the one I stuff into a freezer bag to take photos under water, or tape to the kid's go-kart to get good crash footage.
