Sony Ericsson says Idou to 12 megapixels!
The Sony Ericsson Idou: the slimmest way to carry around 12 megapixels!
Say hello to the Sony Ericsson Idou – the world’s first 12-megapixel camera-phone! The mobile phone masters have just unveiled the well-endowed handset at the Mobile World Congress, and it looks set to steal the limelight!
While mobile phone details have been leaking left, right and centre in the run up to this week, Sony Ericsson managed to keep this 12-megapixeler well hidden. So what can we say about the iDou? Well, for starters it’s got a super-sexy 3.5-inch, 16:9 touchscreen that’s just as good as the iPhone’s. You can bet your life it’ll have all the usual Sony Ericsson bells and whistles as well: GPS, Wi-Fi, games, music.
But it’s that whopping 12-megapixel camera that’s got us wanting to say I do to the Idou. It uses Walkman software on a Symbian OS and Cyber-Shot technology to produce snaps that you’d expect from a DSLR!
Sony’s told us to expect the the handset in June. But you can expect more details well before then. But don’t get too attached to that name. It seems it’s just a working title. Shame.
