Sony Ericsson MS500: outdoor Bluetooth speaker for the summer!
Blast your mobile's music with the outdoor-friendly MS500 speaker.
With summer fast approaching Sony Ericsson has unveiled its first outdoor Bluetooth speaker. Designed to serve up music from your mobile phone, the MS500 hooks up wirelessly via Bluetooth and comes powered by a pair of AA batteries – the idea being to keep it cable-free and easy to use when you’re out and about.
The speaker is durable and splash-proof, and small enough to fit in the palm of a hand. A clip means you can also attach it to a bag or your wrist.
Obviously without hearing the MS500 for ourselves we don’t know how impressive the audio quality is, but Sony Ericsson describes it as “powerful” – and it’s got to be a few factors better than your mobile phone’s tinny built-in speaker. It comes with a DSP to enhance sound quality, offers around five hours of use and is compatible with most Bluetooth phones thanks to its support for 2.1 + EDR.
No price or release date yet, but we’ll update you when we know.
