Sony Ericsson joins the fashion mob!
What do you get when you mix Sony Ericsson and Dolce & Gabbana? The Jalou...
High class mobile phones are normally the preserve of Vertu and Mobiado, which is why the Jalou – Sony Ericsson’s new fashion phone – took us by surprise. Not lest for the Dolce & Gabbana affiliation.
Fashion houses aren’t shy of jumping into the mobile party, with Prada and Armani both dipping their stylish toes in the phone pool. Now Sony Ericsson and Dolce & Gabbana have joined forces to bring us the Jalou.
As a handset the Jalou is strictly one for the ladies, folks. It has a “beautiful facet-cut jewel form” that’s more for her than him. Features-wise it has a two-inch screen that also doubles as a mirror and a display that also updates with zodiac signs and events. We’re surprised Sony Ericsson didn’t make it bright pink! Speaking of which, it’s actually available in Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black. Quite!
You also get a 3.2-megapixel camera. 3G, Bluetooth and an FM radio, plus all your usual phone-related essentials. But where does the D&G bit come in? Well, the limited edition Jalou by Dolce & Gabbana comes with exclusive D&G packaging and, erm, three satin D&G bags to keep the phone in. Er, there’s also direct access to the D&G blog via your phone. Nice.
The Jalou’s not been priced yet, but we expect it’ll be a fair wodge. It’ll be available pre-Christmas – just in time for the girlfriend to start dropping hints then!
