Sony Ericsoon says no to Idou and "I do" to the Satio!
The Sony Ericsson Idou gets a name change and it's not even out yet!
Remember the Sony Ericsson Idou? The camera phone that has such a big megapixel count it makes DSLRs get stage fright in the gadget urinal? Well, it’s changed its name, now going by the monicker Satio!
We first saw the Sony Ericsson Satio back in February at Mobile World Congress under the guise of the Idou. Oh the fun we had with that name. Anyway, just to remind you what the Idou, sorry Satio, has to offer. As well as the huge 12-megapixel sensor, it also boasts a Xenon flash, a 3.5-inch touchscreen and everything else you’d expect from a high-end mobile (GPS, microSD support and HSDPA for speedy web-browsing).
The other good news is the Sony Ericsson Satio will start shipping from this very October. The bad news? We still don’t know which networks it’ll be on. Still, when it does arrive, it looks like the Satio will sate-io our needs for a decent camera phone. Sorry, that was awful.
