Sony Cyber-shots go 3D
Sony Cyber-shot – adding a new dimension to images
Sony’s Cyber-shot range has delved into 3D. Two of its new range, the WX5 and the TX9 will now sport the same 3D sweep panorama function that we reported on the Sony NEX-5 and NEX-3 last week.
The TX9 and WX5’s sweep panorama feature lets you snap ultra wide-angle shots by sweeping the camera across your vista, letting it take a series of fast shots and then stitch the results together. And now, thanks to 3D tech, you can view them in an added dimension on a 3D picture frame or TV.
Both cams come packing BIONZ processors and sporting 12.2 megapixels. The WX5 sports a Sony G lens and 5x optical zoom, while the TX9 has a Carl Zeiss lens and is pared back to 4x optical zoom. Both come with full HD video recording.
Another Cyber-shot release today, the T99 ups the underwater shooting ante by adding a similar sweep function. Called Sweep Multi Angle, it’ll let you capture super-wide shot.. under the sea! It’ll also handle full HD video capture.
The Sony Cyber-shot TX9, WX5 and T99 are set to be in the shops in September.
