Sony cans cut the cacophony
Sony's MDR-NC300D earbuds: ready to block out the din of day-to-day life
Extraneous hubbub, annoying chitter chatter and rumbling train and plain engines your days are numbered, because Sony’s latest noise-cancelling headphones, the MDR-NC300Ds, have the ability to cut a claimed 99 per cent of undesired, ear-bothering, external noise.
The next best thing to a sound-proofed room, and considerably easier to carry around with you, the Sony MDR-NC300Ds come with an inline noise-cancelling module that has three separate modes: general. airplane and one for trains, cars and buses. But it’s that 99 per cent of claimed noise-killing that’s piqued our interest.
Naturally, being Sony headphones, the sound quality is likely to be of the highest quality, and the module runs off just one AA battery. They are pricey, though, with a price tag of around £260. That said, anything that can block out really horrid sounds such as trains, planes and Madonna gigs gets our vote.
