SmartFaucet: the touchscreen tap!
Introducing the touchscreen tap that likes the look of your face
Okay, we don’t often cover bathroom gadgets, but this one was too good to pass up: it’s the SmartFaucet touchscreen tap with, wait for it, face recognition!
What’s the point in face recognition on a tap? Well, the beauty is, the tap will ‘recognise’ you, so the next time it sees your fizzog it’ll run you your preferred bath, to the correct temperature an everything!
The SmartFaucet is designed by iHouse, who have kitted it out with a touchscreen that’ll even allow you to check emails while you’re in the bath. Now, we’re not sure that’s a good idea. The bathroom was the last remaining sanctuary where work couldn’t grab us. Next thing you know we’ll be designing PowerPoint presentations on the toilet roll holder!
The SmartFaucet is actually only a prototype for the moment, and while we’re not sure that mix of electricity and water is a good one, we do know that something that runs you a bath just by looking at it is pretty awesome. Now all we need is a girlfriend who’ll bring us a beer just by looking at her. Hmm, wishful thinking…
