Italian projector specialist turns its hand to TVs with stunning results
If you thought the Colosseum and the espresso were the only Italian-designed wonders of the world, think again buddy. Sim2, Italian projector specialist, has just announced its Solar Series TV – the world’s first to pack in Dolby Vision technology!
The Solar Series 47-inch High-Definition TV is the first to use said tech, which modulates LED backlighting to give unbelievably dynamic contrast ratios. Seriously, blacks will be blacker than soot-covered black retriever, and whites brighter than an atomic explosion.
As with most things Italian, the Solar Series is unbelievably stylish. Thankfully, it doesn’t have arms or it would be gesturing wildly at us. So when will we be able to get a glimpse of this Italian stallion? Sim2 says “the second quarter of 2009”. We suppose we can wait. Harumph!
