SIM2 launches Mico 50 LED projector
SIM2's £15k Micro projector
Italian luxury projector maker SIM2 has launched its first LED illuminated projector the Mico 50. SIM2’s Grand Cinema projectors are already regarded as some of the best – and the most expensive – around, and the Mico 50 fits right in on both counts.
It delivers jaw-dropping images thanks to its Full HD DLP DarkChip4 chipset, but it’s the LED light source that’s the real ground-breaker. The Mico 50 houses three high-power Phlatlight LEDs (one for each of red, blue and green), which allows the projector to produce clearer, brighter and more vibrant images, along with a wider and more consistent colour gamut.
The nature of LEDs also allows them to be switched completely off when not being used – the result being a quoted contrast ratio of a staggering 100,000:1. Better still, LED illumination requires less power to do its work, so each LED will last up to 30,000 hours.
The SIM2 Grand Cinema Mico 50 is available now for an eye-watering £14,995.

When my boat comes in this will be the first thing I buy, some may say I have a sad life perhaps they are right but watching movies through this would soon perk me up
