The Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos Regulator: silly name, awesome clock
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos Regulator for Dunhill is not just a ridiculous name (it hardly rolls of the toungue), but a clock with an amazing Art-Deco-esque design. And by Art Deco we mean the 1930’s movement, not a combination of Art Garfunkel and Portuguese midfield impresario Deco.
Apparently inspired by Dunhill’s lighters and cigarette cases from the 1930s, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos Regulator might not shoot out any flames, but it certainly is smoking hot.
It’s powered by changes in room temperature. We kid you not. The 242 piece caliber 582 movement is powered simply by small changes in temperature. A change of one degree will give the clock enough juice to keep it ticking for 48 hours! Not just a pretty fascia then.
So how much will Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos Regulator cost you then? A not-so-cool $70,600. That’s the equivalent of around 45,000 British pounds to you!
