Say hello to the world's first digital superbike!
"She's electric", sang Oasis about the MotoCzysz E1pc... alright, maybe they didn't, but they could have
Ladies and gents, introducing to you the “world’s first digital superbike!” At least that’s what the MotoCzysz E1pc (don’t ask us how to pronounce that) is claiming to be, with its bucket-load of hi-tech features, including an Apple iPhone up front.
The MotoCzysz E1pc is actually an all-electric, zero-emission superbike. Sounds all green and boring? Far from it. Czysz says it’ll do 0-120mph in around seven to eight seconds! Tech-wise, this electric offering is backed up with oval-section ‘6X’ forks, to give a superior feel when leaning around corners that are bendier than Sting. It’s also got a carbon-and-alloy frame.
Back to that iPhone then, and it’s not actually clear whether the bike just uses the iPhone’s native accelerometer. Of course the iPhone can already track location and speed via GPS and can measure performance metrics through various apps. Perhaps Czysz just wants to listen to some tunes while he’s riding around! Anyway, if you want to get a glimpse of the MotoCzysz E1pc in action it’s taking part in the TTXGP (the world’s first zero emission Grand Prix) on the Isle of Man on June 12.
