Sanyo Xacti VPC-CS1 incoming!
Sanyo’s all-new HD-shooting mini camcorder is coming to the UK this Friday! The latest addition to the Xacti family, the VPC-CS1 is a super-slim pistol-grip with 1080i shooting and it’ll be hitting the shelves before the weekend.
The Sanyo Xacti VPC-CS1 will also double up as an eight megapixel still camera, and sports SDXC memory card support, so you’ll be able to record hours on end without running out of space.
The Xacti will set you back about £249 when it hits the shops on Friday – stay tuned for a full review when we get our hands on one…

I have an Xacti, not this one though. Biggest problem with mine is the abysmal flash, poor low-light performance and shutter lag. Would be interested to see if Sanyo have overcome all of these problems with this model. If so, it may be time for an upgrade.

I have the Xacti CG10 and I'm looking to replace it as soon as I find a suitable replacement. The major flaw I have found is that it films at 30fps, when PAL video is 25fps. The resulting video is jerky and conversion is time consuming and still yields poor results. I am yet to find a replacement that will FILM at 25fps (plenty will output to tv at 25fps), and as every dual-use I have looked at has the same problem, I would imagine this is no different. What's the use of High Def video if the frame rate makes it jerky?!?!?!
