Sanyo Xacti camcorders are worlds apart
The new range of Sanyo Xacti camcorders includes three world firsts
Sanyo is launching its latest range of Xacti camcorders tonight and we’ve got a sneaky peek at the new range right here. And it’s good news, folks: Sanyo’s stuffed three world firsts into the range.
The first, erm, world first is the Sanyo DMX-HD2000/FH11 – the first camcorder to capture full HD in progressive format at 60fps. What that means is your images will be super-crisp and sharper than a Parma ham slicer. It’s got a 16x zoom and has a slick pistol grip so it offers quick-on-the-draw sharp-shooting, and is small enough to be holstered in your manbag.
Next up are the DMX-CA9 and DMX-WH1, which Sanyo claims are the world’s first waterproof HD camcorders. They pack in a whopping 30x zoom so you can capture each tiny grub in the ocean, and come in a variety of colours, including a vibrant yellow, so you can easily be seen in the bog that is the Severn Estuary.
Finally, the DMX-CG10. Sanyo clams that this is the fist camcorder to shoot HD video and 10-megapixel still shots. Hopefully that means proper stills, and not the grainy upsampled “stills” most camcorders take. Still, sounds like a promising bunch from Sanyo.
