Samsung to make OLED laptop
Glowing reviews await - Samsung to make OLED laptop
Samsung are planing to launch a laptop with an Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) display by next year, according to Kyu Uhm – sales and marketing boss for the South Korean tech giant.
Samsung have been making good use of OLED technology in some of their latest mobile phones. The organic-compound displays give wonderfully vibrant colour images while requiring relatively little power – both of which are qualities that would work well with a laptop.
“Samsung is the largest OLED screen manufacturer, annd as soon as it’s available commercially for laptops we will adopt it. Probably sometime next year,” said Kyu Uhm, speaking at the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin.

I think this technology would be great for laptops - It should increase the average time on laptop due to its low power consuming screen. I might hold off buying a laptop until this new range of technology is finally out!

This looks more like the future! Screensavers can then be proper, well, to save energy!
