Samsung TangoView lets you watch what you clean
It cleans your home, then keeps an eye on it
We’re self-confessed fans of the cute Roomba home-cleaning robots from iRobot, but Samsung’s new TangoView ‘bot takes things to a whole new level.
It not only shuffles around your home vacuuming up dirt and grime, but it also has an on-board video camera too. That means your trusty house-cleaner can turn into a surveillance device, keeping an eye out for intruders and grassing out your pets when they climb on the sofa.
The TangoView, otherwise known as the VC-RL87W, will happily fire off a live video stream straight to your computer, phone or tablet, so you can keep an eye on things no matter where you are.
Other than its Peeping Tom capabilities, this robotic vac is the same as the normal Samsung Tango, which has already been around for a couple of years, and operates at a quiet 48dB operation so your intruders won’t even hear it coming.
We’re not sure if or when the TangoView will be making it out of Korea, but if you’re really desperate to get your hands on one, you can head over there now and lay down around £440’s worth in crisp Korean Won bills.
