Samsung ST1000's got talent...
Actually it's multi-talented, with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GOS all in one compact case
Once in a while someone on the X Factor will wow you with their “special talent”. Not often, granted, but sometimes. Well, the Samsung ST1000 compact camera doesn’t just come with one special talent, but three instead. This is the first compact camera to squeeze in GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth into a single body. This is still a camera, right?
First up: GPS. This allows you to geotag each shot you take with the Samsung ST1000. You can then keep informed of the city and region you’re currently in (just in case you forget!) via the camera’s LCD screen.
Bluetooth, meanwhile, allows you to transfer you snaps direct to your mobile phone, while the included Wi-Fi allows you to email your David Bailey-style shots to your mates or, better still, stick them up on Facebook or the like.
That’s not the end of the fun. The Samsung ST1000 is DLNA compliant too, so you can stream the snaps to other DLNA gear – HDTVs, media servers, digital photo frames and the like. And if that wasn’t enough, the Samsung ST1000 also has the world’s highest resolution 3.5-inch touchscreen with a feature called Smart Touch Auto Focus. It’s exactly like it sounds: autofocus an area on the screen by touching it. Now that is clever!
