Samsung shows off transparent AMOLED
It might look like something straight from a sci-fi movie, but it’s actually here right now – Samsung has unveiled a prototype transparent AMOLED screen – a world’s first.
The 19-inch screen grows on a demo of a 14-inch model seen at CES at the start of the year, but now Samsung has achieved 30 per cent transparency on the screen, making it a far more useful concept for incorporating on future tech.
Samsung says it envisions this tech on storefront advertising or car windscreens or helmet glass – could interactive transparent screens be the future of sat-nav? Have your say below…

Looks Great! and adam... "what use will they really be". I think thats answered in the post. Just think of any situation when a moving image would be require to be laid on top of real life. So storefront advertising, real life satnav, what about shrunk down into sunglass to allow web info or media to be streamed to them. Or in the medical field. The future looks great from here!
