Samsung Series 5 Google Chrome Netbook launched
If you use a laptop predominantly to browse the web, watch YouTube clips or use Google Docs, you’ll love the new Samsung Series 5 netbook. This compact machine is the first to ship with Google’s new Chrome OS, running most features from a web browser.
The Samsung Series 5 netbook looks great, with a thin casing and a white lid. At 12 inches, and just over 2kg, it’s easily small enough to take with you pretty much wherever you go.
With Google’s Chrome OS running nearly everything from the internet, there’s no need for a fast processor, so the Samsung Series 5 sticks with an affordable dual-core Atom chip. Despite that, it’s still capable of booting within ten seconds.
You can stay connected around the home or office using Wi-Fi, and Samsung will also ship the Series 5 with a 3G adapter. Google Chrome will feature an offline mode, but even when you’re connected you can expect a battery life of over eight hours.
Costing £349, or £399 with 3G, the Samsung Series 5 will hit the shops on June 24th. Will you be buying one? Or will you still with an operating system you know and love? Leave a comment and let us know.

If you're going to get one, buy it on amazon.COM NOT co.uk The reason? About a £100 price difference with current exchange rates. Do Google REALLY think the British are so stupid as to not realise?!
