Samsung outs the HMX-U10 Samsung reveals the HMX-U10 - a Flip-baiting camcorder

With our trousers getting tighter and our arms getting weedier, everyone wants a tiny camcorder. As if reading our minds, Samsung has delivered the HMX-U10 – a full-HD camcorder so small that it laughs at the likes of the Flip UltraHD in a tiny high-pitched voice. At least that’s how we imagine it’d laugh.

The Samsung HMX-U10 is a full-HD, 1080p camcorder that also has the ability to capture ten-megapixel stills. Samsung is boasting that this is better than the average pocket camcorder, stuffing in some truly impressive features into a body that measures 56×103x15.5mm and weighs a mere 95g.

So what does the Samsung HMX-U10 have to offer? Well, for a start there’s one button YouTube uploading and an animated thumbnail feature that lets you pick out clips easily. There’s even clever intelli-studio software to prime your vids for uploading. The two-inch screen is just about big enough for framing shots, but that said, you wouldn’t be able to squeeze a much bigger screen on a body this small.

Samsung has said the HMX-U10 will be hitting the stores from September, but hasn’t revealed the price yet. Here’s hoping it’s as small as the camcorder itself.
