Samsung NX100 pictures revealed
Samsung NX100 – new micro four-thirds
The Samsung NX100 – the hotly anticipated new mirrorless compact camera from Samsung – has had some official press images leaked today. The camera’s official specs have yet to see the light of day, but it seems that fans can now catch a first glimpse of the new snapper’s body.
The Samsung NX100 won’t officially be unveiled until the Photokina event in Cologne later this month. It’s another Micro Four Thirds snapper and is thought to be the smallest mirrorless interchangeable camera to hit the shelves so far.
The leaked press image suggests that the supplied 20-50mm f3.5-5.6 lens will only feature 2.5x zoom, and it won’t come with a built-in flash, relying instead on a hotshoe add-on.
Speculations suggests that other specs will match its mirrorless predecessor – the Samsung NX10 – but we’ll have to hold on until 21 September for more news as it happens from Photokina.
What do you think? Is it worth investing in a micro four-thirds camera? Do you have one already? Let us know below…

Certainly looks interesting, althought 20-50mm (32-80mm in 35mm terms) is an odd choice. Also a small correction. The NX100 (like the NX10) isn't a Micro 4/3rds camera, it has an APS-C sized sensor (in common with many D-SLRs).

After recently purchasing a Samsung EX1 camera which I found stunning, that only has a small sensor about the quarter the size of the NX100 with its APS-C sized sensor, I can only imagine the quality of this camera, and almost pocket size as well. I always find SLR's too big and feel this is the way to go for many people who like to carry a camera with them at all times. I hope the HD video is also up to a decent standard as video often seems to be a let down in Samsung compact cameras, its okay, but I have seem much better.
