Samsung I7500 Android phone arriving June
Samsung's first Android phone, the I7500, is making its bow this summer
Say hello to the Samsung I7500 – the company’s first Android phone. It’s been doing the rumour rounds for a long time now, but Samsung has finally confirmed that this will be its first Android handset and it’ll be hitting our phone stores no later than June!
The Samsung I7500 isn’t just about the Android OS, however (although that’s a large part of the appeal), it’s a sexy slither of a mobile phone too, measuring just 11.9-mm slim. But what about the rest of the spec? Well, with a list that would put Specs Savers to shame, it’s rammed with features: a 3.2-inch OLED touchscreen, Wi-Fi, quad-band GSM, HSDPA for super-fast internet browsing, a five-megapixel snapper (stick that in your Pod and smoke it iPhone), 8GB of storage, microSD expansion to 32GB and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Phew.
So it looks like Samsung is entering the Android market with what could potentially be known as “an iPhone killer” that mythical beast that we’ve been waiting to arrive for so long, only to be disappointed time after time. Will the Samsung I7500 be the God of cellular interaction. We’ll find out in June.
