Samsung goes large with Galaxy Tab 10.1
Samsung's new bigger-screened Galaxy Tab 10.1
A lot has changed since the original Samsung Galaxy Tab came out in the second half of last year – not least of which the number of tablets now offering a serious alternative to the Apple iPad.
Now Samsung has upped its game – and its screen size – with the Galaxy Tab 10.1, its second stab at the tablet market unveiled on the evening before Mobile World Congress 2011.
It’s not just a larger screen on the new Tab, however. Android Honeycomb is a real highlight, of course, and an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor brings the Galaxy Tab brand bang up to speed with the best of its rivals right now.
Back to that screen, it boasts a videotastic 1280×800-pixel resolution, and along with Flash 10.1 support, stereo speakers and full HD video shooting and playback, makes for a multimedia lover’s dream.
We’ve yet to hear exactly when the new larger-screened Galaxy Tab will be arriving on UK shores, but we do know Vodafone will be the contract provider, as is the case with the current Galaxy Tab.

Looks like another excellent tablet from samsung, shame it`ll be badly overpriced as before though! Still a much better choice than the dull iPad, yawn!

Got this the other day after falling for all the hype and reviews. The touchscreen has a major bug which hasn't been mentioned here at all. After a couple of hours playing and getting to grips with the tab, I started to notice a very irritating problem – at times the touch screen will become completely unresponsive, usually for 5-10 seconds. Google Maps for example will freeze completely for 5-10 seconds and then force close. Infuriating to use and a complete waste of money IMO. Shoddy hardware/software disguised as a high end device. Save your money.
