Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy Tab 2 confirmed
The Galaxy Tab's replacement will be announced next month
A leaked programme for Samsung’s pre-Mobile World Congress launch event on February 13 has revealed the company will be unveiling both the Galaxy S2 smartphone and the Galaxy Tab 2 tablet.
Samsung president JK Shin will be on hand in Barcelona to do the honours and usher in the second generation of Samsung’s flagship mobile devices.
Of course, the programme says nothing about what exactly the pair will offer in terms of specification, but there’s certainly been plenty of rumour.
It’s expected that the second Galaxy Tab will run Android 3.0 Honeycomb, and could feature a 10in screen against the current Galaxy Tab’s 7in. In addition, the screen tech itself should be a step up from ordinary LCD to Samsung’s Super AMOLED.
The Galaxy S2, meanwhile, is believed to have a dual-core Orion processor and 1GB or RAM inside, and will also have an 8-megapixel camera capable of recording video at 1080p.
